Overview

Road Cycling Holiday in The Swiss Alps

22nd to 27th June 2025

Grade 4

Switzerland is one of the very best places in Europe to ride a bike.  It is a spectacular country with great scenery, beautiful lakes, stunning mountains and superb roads.

The trip starts on the 22nd June 2025 for 5-nights, combining these brilliant ingredients with a garnish of great hotels that together make this Swiss trip through the Bernese Oberland an unforgettable experience.

We will start and finish the ride in one of the best kept secrets of Switzerland, The Cambrian Hotel in Adelboden.  In winter this is a stopover for the World Cup ski racing circuit and in summer its panoramic views are equally breathtaking.  Our great friends at The Cambrian will host us up for the start of the ride and welcome us home after the trip through the mountains.

In just 6 days, you will get a taste of alpine riding in Switzerland. Small roads with little traffic, unspoilt sceneries and countless switchbacks amongst snowy peaks: the country has a lot to offer the discerning rider looking beyond the classics of the Alps.

Despite its difficulty, expert support makes this challenge manageable, even for those who haven't completed other similar challenges. Expert guides provide exceptional support with a support vehicle and riders on the road, ensuring a memorable experience for all.

Arrival / Departure Transfers

Transfers from Geneva airport to your hotel in Adelboden will be via train. Geneva provide flight options from several UK airports. The following itinerary is based on the Easyjet flight  EZY2883 from Bristol arriving at 10:15 on the 22nd, and the return flight on the Friday from Geneva, Easyjet flight EZY2886 departing 18:10 on the 27th.

Our transfer will aim to leave no later than 11:30 for the journey to the hotel, so your flight will need to arrive at least 1 hour before then.

Bike Hire

Unfortunately, due to the nature and location of this tour we are unable to offer bike hire.

Accommodation

Your accommodation is provided in excellent hotels at each of our destinations. The holiday is priced, based on a twin occupancy of a double room. However should you wish to opt for a double room to yourself, this is available at the time of booking and priced accordingly. Please note single occupancy rooms are limited and available on a first come first served basis.

Meals

Breakfast and dinner will be included at the hotel and lunch, which is not included, will be along the route each day, in local cafes. It is usual to eat communally although of course you are free to opt out if you wish.

Support

We will carry emergency energy gels and bars and fruit with extra water but you are advised to bring along your own preferred sports nutrition to fuel your ride and for recovery each day.
